Oh Captain, My Captain: Washington Announces Team Leaders for 2023 Season

With less than two weeks before the start of the season, Washington’s head coach. Kalen Deboer announced the team captains for the 2023 football season:

—Senior quarterback, Michael Penix
—Junior wide receiver, Rome Odunze
—Junior edge rusher, Bralen Trice
— Senior linebacker, Edefuan Ulofoshio

All four are up for major awards, led by Heisman-candidate Michael Penix (although the Heisman field has yet to be announced):
