WOOF: 3-Star OT Zachary Henning Commits to Washington

The ball keeps rolling! This time, the commitment comes from three-star offensive lineman, Zachary Henning, out of Grandview (Colo.) High School. After in-state offensive lineman Micah Banuelos left Washington off of his top three announcement earlier in the week, Henning is an exciting prospect who should have Husky fans excited for his potential in Scott Huff’s system.

It’s impossible to compare anyone to Roger Rosengarten, who also committed to Scott Huff from the state of Colorado, but the two have a very similar body type and play style. Henning is a violent, downhill, attacking offensive lineman who is going to excel at either tackle or guard after he puts on 25-30 pounds. He currently measures in at 6’6, 275 pounds, and needs to improve as a pass protector, but that’s something he’ll definitely improve upon sitting behind Rosengarten, Troy Fautanu, and some of the other exciting offensive line prospects Washington has waiting in the wings.

After securing a commitment from Anthony James earlier in the day, and now getting one from Henning, with more on the way over the next few days, this coaching staff is showing that they have the ability to close.

And as usual… now the question is, who’s next? There’s a lot of smoke coming out of the program right now surrounding some of the big names on campus for their official visit, and it feels like it’s only a matter of time before a few of them officially announce their commitments.
