Washington Offers Florida Grad Transfer Linebacker

The Washington Huskies have offered University of Florida linebacker transfer, Mannie Nunnery—his third time in the Transfer Portal.

A starter of 3 games last season with the Gators, the 6-1.25, 225-pound inside linebacker entered the back in January before rejoining the program.

On the back of his 3 blocked field goal attempts, Nunnery was 2022 National Special Teams Player of the Year while at the University of Houston before heading to Gainesville for the 2023 season.

After redshirting in 2019 then a free year from the Covid shutdown, Nunnery has one year of eligibility remaining.

He seemed to be the odds-on favorite to be the Gators’ starting ILB next season before a falling out with his coach before UF’s Spring Game, being reduced to second string.

Last season he had 28 tackles, 1.5 tackles-for-loss and half a sack.

Between Alphonzo Tuputala, Carson Bruener, Drew Fowler, and San Jose State transfer Bryce Parham the Huskies are likely looking to add quality depth at the ILB position.
