WOOF: Washington Lands Oklahoma Safety Transfer

With the “Singing in the Purple Reign” gif on Twitter, Jedd Fisch essentially confirmed that the Washington Huskies have landed Oklahoma transfer Justin Harrington.

The 6-3, 219-pound DB entered the Transfer Portal on April 22, recently taking a visit to UW.

Harrington started at what Oklahoma calls the “Cheetah” position, similar to the two the “Husky” position under Kalen DeBoer.  In the first two games of the season, before he went down he registered 6 tackles and an interception.

Coming out of high school in North Carolina, Harrington spent his first two seasons at the Junior College level at Bakersfield College before signing with Oklahoma in 2022.   Harrington appeared in all of OU’s games in 2022 and notching 23 stops along with a pick.

The NCAA granted him a seventh year of eligibility, for the 2024 season.

RealDawg has reached out to Harrington for comment.
