After trailing 37-30 at the half, the Washington Huskies brought the energy in the second half by scoring 44 points, with Moses Wood hitting a clutch jumper to make it a two-possession game with 19 seconds remaining. The Huskies held on to win 74-71 despite inefficient shooting all around.

The crowd was lackluster with the 9 pm start time at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, with Xavier fans having to wait until midnight for the game to tip-off. If they stayed up for the second quarter, they probably wish they had just gone to bed.
Xavier was more efficient than Washington shooting the ball but lost this game at the charity stripe. Xavier went 18-31 at the line and kept the Huskies alive long enough for them to strike.
The Huskies took their first lead of the second half with 12:08 remaining and went back and forth for the next four minutes. Wood buried a three-pointer with 8:20 remaining for the Huskies to take the lead, and they never looked back.
Keion Brooks, Jr. delivered another fantastic game for the Huskies, scoring 20 points with eight rebounds, an assist, a steal, and three blocks. Despite shooting just 5-17 from the field, he made it up at the free throw line when he knocked down 9 of 12 attempts.
Sahvir Wheeler also stepped up for the Huskies, filling up the stat sheet with 18 points, four rebounds, five assists, and a pair of blocks and steals.
The Huskies will look to carry this momentum to Sunday, November 19 when they match up against San Diego State at 7 pm in Las Vegas.
