Washington Gains Commitment from 2025 Offensive Tackle

New Washington Husky head coach Jedd Fisch has been doing exactly what he said he would do:  be a maniac on the recruiting trail.

The latest addition to the Huskies talent is 3-star offensive lineman Jake Flores from Junipero Serra (J Serra) High School in California’s Bay Area.

At 6-6 275lbs Flores is one of the top linemen in the class of 2025. After his Junior year Flores was named 2nd team all-state in California.

Flores has been recognized for his performances. The 3-star rating tells you almost nothing about his talent level. For the Huskies to land his commitment they had to beat out college footballs Blue Bloods. UW, Michigan, Florida State and Ole Miss are just a short list of last seasons College Football Playoff contenders that were looking to add Flores. That type of talent is special.

At his size Flores is capable of dominating off the line of scrimmage, making defensive lineman appear tiny in pass protection. An immovable object, even when facing the best teams in the country. What really stands out though is his ability to move. Flores excelled getting up the field to make second level blocks and was used as a pulling lineman almost perfectly.

With that mix of size, athleticism, and skill set there is a reason every team in the country was looking to bring him in, and a huge reason Husky fans should be excited to have him.

RealDawg will have an interview with Flores soon.
