UW Hosting Four High-End Visitors this Weekend

UW Hosting Four High-End Visitors this Weekend

The Husky coaching staff has an important weekend ahead of them. They’re set to host four official visitors, including two blue-chip players. The four are:

Jaeden Moore, a three-star Edge out of Central Valley Christian (Calif.).

Beni Ngoyi, a three-star wide receiver out of Lincoln High School (Nebraska).

Trey Wilson, a four-star defensive linemen out of Lakeview Centennial High School (Texas).

And finally, Avery Johnson, a four-star quarterback out of Maize High School (Kansas).

Every single one of these guys play a position of need, and would make a massive impact with a commitment.

Moore has massive upside. His ceiling is as high as anyone’s in the class.  This will be his second visit, and is planning to commit at some point during the summer.

Ngoyi has incredibly sticky hands on top of a high play speed, and with possible mentors in wide receivers coach JaMarcus Shephard and a tandem of high-quality pass catchers on the roster. He’s planning on taking a few visits before making a decision, which could come by the end of the summer.

A Wilson commitment would show director of player personnel Courtney Morgan’s impact on the program. He’s scheduled visits to USC and Utah, and holds offers from a number of high-end programs. A great tackler, ball carriers rarely seem to escape his grasp. The coaching staff would be securing a monster if they can close on Wilson this weekend.

Then there’s Avery Johnson. In the 2023 cycle, the state of Kansas has produced a massive amount of talent and he looks to be the best of the bunch. He recorded 42 total touchdowns alongside 3,600 all-purpose yards in 2021, and is looking to build on that in his senior season.

Johnson can sling it just as well as he can run. He’s a natural passer with  crisp mechanics for a high schooler. The Elite 11 finalist is as good as anyone in the class, and would be the first true dual threat Washington has pulled in in years. He hasn’t released an official top four, but it seems that Oregon, Washington, Kansas State, and Virginia are all recruiting him hard. If DeBoer can secure a commitment from Johnson, that would send a message to teams all across the nation.

Only time will tell where all these players are headed, but it’s a fantastic sign that DeBoer and Co. are able to get them in for visits.
