Scoutlook: New Washington Commit Landon Bell is Perfect Fit for Explosive Offense

Liberty High School’s Landon Bell has decided that Kalen DeBoer’s offense will be a great place to continue his football career after graduation. The 6 foot 3 junior athlete saw what he needed to after the dominant offensive performance the Huskies put on Michigan State.

Bell is yet another talented receiver to come out of Nevada following in the footsteps of Rome Odunze and the first commit for Washington in the class of 2024.

Size: At 6-3 and 185 pounds Bell fits the mold of many impressive receivers on the current Huskies’ roster.

Speed: Based on his most recent film Bell is not going to be the fastest guy in the receiver room when he enters the program. He does sit down in his route quickly what keeps defensive backs on their heels.

Hands: Landon Bell’s highlight reel is composed of amazing one-handed catches. His concentration on contested catches turn 50-50 balls into 70-30 balls.

Footwork: As mentioned, Landon Bell is effective in his route running. He is so dangerous down the sideline he can get open in the intermediate routes with his quickness when stopping and starting.

Football IQ: To put it plainly, he puts defenders in terrible positions. He sets defenders up with slow starts to a route before accelerating down the sidelines to get just enough of a window for a reception. The rhythm in which he runs his routes doesn’t allow for defensive backs to anticipate where the ball will be delivered.

Scoutlook: Landon Bell will be dangerous in this offense especially down the sidelines. The Husky offense will take advantage of his big play ability. He makes acrobatic catches as well as routine before looking up field. He has the potential to be a name to remember on future all conference teams.

Husky Comparison: Kasen Williams
