RealDawg.com continues with its recent string of personnel moves, announcing University of Washington freshman Reece McCully as the site’s new Social Media Coordinator. For 22 years, RealDawg.com has been the proven leader in UW insider news and recruiting.
“Reece is essential to our success,” said RealDawg.com‘s owner, Mike Martin. “He’s a perfect fusion of a passionate Husky fan, and someone who clearly understands our messaging on social media.”
Born in the heart of Washington State University Cougar country, McCully began following the Huskies at an early age.
“I have always been a Husky fan because of my uncle, who was a UW student in the 90’s,” McCully said. “He’s the reason that I’m a Husky fan.”
Enrolling in the Fall of 2021, McCully is a Biology major, although he’s an academic sophomore because of Spokane’s North Central High School’s AP program.
“It’s an honor to join the RealDawg.com team,” McCully said. “I’ve followed Roman Tomashoff’s RealDawg stories for a while and I have interacted with him on social media.”
In fact, when the Social Media Coordinator position opened up it was Tomashoff who advocated for McCully.
“Spending just a few minutes with Reece was all I needed to know that Roman was right about him,” Martin said. “He won me over immediately with his understanding of the importance of our forward-facing product and that he’s grown up with social media. He has hit the ground running.”
