Linebacker and special teams coach, Bob Gregory spoke to the media today following practice, via Zoom. Defensive back, Keith Taylor and lineman, Josiah Bronson also took part.
That video will be uploaded and added to this article soon, but here’s a few quick notes on what Coach Gregory had to say.
** The team was in full pads today, and Gregory said “The offense had their way”, with a chuckle, noting that it wasn’t a good day for the defense. However, he did say that “Yesterday the defense had their way.”
** Right now the inside guys are a deep group, but Gregory points out that this doesn’t necessarily mean it’s experienced depth.
** One veteran returning is Eddie Ulofoshio, who Gregory said is emerging as a leader of the group, followed by Jack Sirmon who’s also emerging.
** Coach talked about his punt return team, “We got a crew”, he exclaimed, listing Trent McDuffie, Rome Odunze, and Kyler Gordon, “Really exciting guys back there…really athletic kids.”
** Gregory also pointed out that newcomer, long-snapper Jaden Green “is one of the best I’ve been around”, adding that Cade Otton and Jack Sirmon are working the position as well.
