First off, Husky Stadium was a very big factor in the Huskies’ 11 point victory over the 11th ranked Michigan State Spartans.

Sharp College Football has the Washington Defense 77th in the country and 9th in the conference.Β  This is due in part to the 4th quarter against Michigan State when the game was out of reach.

However, Bill Connelly dug deeper into the game rather than just looking at the yards contained in a box score:Β  A fascinating look at how Penix can distribute the ball to his play-makers.

The Huskies are tops in the conference in several offensive categories.

In terms of yards per game the Huskies appear to be just fine:

There are only a few unbeaten teams remaining and Connelly looks at the team’s odds to go 12-0. Remember that at one point the Seattle Mariners had a 4.3 percent probability of making the playoffs.

It all led to Washington’s Kaleb DeBoer being named Coach of the Week by the Dodd Trophy association
