Listen to Pick and Roll: Three Games, Two Wins

The Washington Huskies women’s basketball team had a fantastic week the culminated with a 68-60 victory over the Ducks on senior night.

There were few dry eyes on the Washington sideline when Tina Langley subbed out her seniors after the win was secured at Hec Ed. Even sweeter is the revenge the Huskies got after Kelly Graves decided to tweet at Kelsey Plum to gloat that the program hadn’t bested his Ducks since she graduated.

How sweet it was.

Washington started the week with a win against Oregon State that saw the Dawgs control the game from start to finish. The Beavers attempted a comeback late to make the game look closer than it really was.

Thursday Washington fell to USC in a defensive battle that was marred by Washington’s failure to make some high percentage shots against an aggressive defense of the Trojans.

Washington will finish the regular season out with a matchup with an UCLA team that has been reeling as of late with a home loss against WSU.

Regardless of the result against the Bruins, the Huskies matchup in the conference tournament is set. Washington will be the #8 team in the conference and will attempt to make it a two-game winning streak against the #9 seeded Ducks.

Evie Mason and UW Leah break down the two games and preview the matchup with UCLA.
