According to a source, former Washington running back Will Nixon will be filing his paperwork today to enter the Transfer Portal as a graduate transfer.
They had been speculation that Nixon was leaving the game of football.
The Transfer Portal opens in mid April, but given that Nixon will have his diploma from Washington he can enter the portal at any time.
According to the source, Nixon signed paperwork Tuesday and it takes 3 days to go through which is today.
This past season he had 33 carriers for 201 yards, even drawing the start in the first game of the season.
However, as Mississippi State transfer, Dillon, Johnson became healthy Nixon’s role diminished.
The 5-11, 202-pound Nebraska transfer sat out the 2021 season with a torn ACL but became a valuable piece of Washington’s high-powered offense, averaging 6.7 yards per carry and nearly 8 yards per reception.
