Jones redshirted last season, appearing in two games as a true freshman, including the Holiday Bowl against North Carolina. He is credited with one total tackle, against Colorado.
Originally from Las Vegas, Nevada, Jones is one of three former Liberty players who were committed to Washington: Germie Bernard, Anthony Jones, and Sir Mells.
With the changeover in staff at Washington, Jones flipped to Texas, before landing in Eugene on signing day. Defensive lineman, Mells also joined Jones at Oregon.
Bernard is now back in Seattle as a receiver, enrolling for Winter quarter.
Currently, the Washington Huskies are one scholarship over the limit of 85. With the acquisition and emergence of Zack Durfee this past winter/spring it is not expected that UW will have a spot for him at this time.
