Bark: Washington Adds 3-Star Oregon Defensive Back Transfer

The Washington Huskies have received the commitment from former a former foe.  Darren Barkins announced his pledge via Twitter.  Barkins was used sparingly this past season, playing a total of 29 plays, 27 of which were on special teams.  In high school in California, he also transferred leaving Monte Vista for Mater Dei in high school, where he was rated a 3-star defensive back

Playing in 4 games as a true freshman before Dan Lanning landed in Eugene, the 5-9, 170-pound defensive back has 3 years of eligibility remaining.

At Mater Dei he also lettered in track.  He joins a remade defensive backfield with newcomers, Winter freshman enrolees Diesel Gordon, Caleb Presley, incoming freshmen Curley Reed and Leroy Bryant and transfers Jabar Mohammad and Thaddeus Dixon.

RealDawg.com has reached out to Barkins for an interview.
