Things definitely went full-circle for four-star safety Asa Turner. He committed last June, then decommitted right after signing day in Decemmber, and today he came back to where he began.
Turner, who the Huskies will play at safety — had the coaches allowed him to work things out in his own mind when Notre Dame came calling.
The rumors swirled but Turner insistated he was still 100% committed to the Huskies. But on the December 19th signing day, he sat at the table at Carlsbad High School with a dummy letter, “My mom had one in her purse and just handed it to me”, he would say later, “I didn’t plan on signing.”
Turner already realized he just flat out wasn’t ready and needed some time to sort through his options.
After home visits from both coaching staffs, Turner made his final choice known today.
