The Huskies offered Federal Way inside linebacker, Alphonzo Tuputala following a great showing at the Rising Stars camp two weeks ago, and he was on campus today at Washington, and he committed.
Tuputala is a big body; 6-3, 240 and he’s what you might call an “instate sleeper”, simply because he’s underrated locally — and yet he came to Washington’s camp and solidified the offer that followed.
Tuputala is impressive at the pass-rush and at the camp was strong in the linebacker drills. He’s another home-grown player that wants to stay near and play for the home crowd.
He came to Washington today with his family and met with assistant coaches before meeting with Coach Pete and giving him the verbal.
