The Huskies didn’t take long to make a run at the transfer portal when former UC Davis corner, Jordan Perryman opted to transfer.
Perryman, who’s 6-0, 201, fills a huge need to Washington with Trent McDuffie and Kyler Gordon possibly entering the draft, but regardless — Washington needs a guy who can come in right away and be a lock down corner.
Perryman is fast (4.43) and had been making a serious name for himself at UC Davis, but said on Twitter that he was ready to take the next step.
“They were amazing”, Perryman said about all he saw in Seattle, “I’m coming from a smaller school, so I was walking around with heart eyes”.
Perryman said he’s “super grateful and excited that the opportunity was presented”.
Right now he has one year of eligibility left and will enroll in January, “The plan is to come and compete for a starting spot”, Perryman explained.
On the field, Perryman is the quintessential lock down corner; he loves to compete and is extremely aggressive. He’s a big corner but he’s physically strong, fast, and has big hops.
This is a real solid pick up for the Huskies and an early feather-in-the-cap for new CB coach, Juice Brown.
