WOOF: Dyson McCutcheon Commits to the Dawgs

Bishop Amat High School (Claremont, CA) corner, Dyson McCutcheon put his name on the 2021 Class roster today, calling up Jimmy Lake and Will Harris to give him his pledge.

“They’re known for having good defenses”, the 5-10, 170 lb. corner told Realdawg.com, “When my recruiting started picking up…ever since then Washington has been one of my top schools. Coach Harris and I have talked and text.”

It all came down to fit for McCutcheon, and Washington “checked all the boxes”.

“I feel at home there”, he said, “Coach Harris…relates to you on a personal level…He cares about his players on and off the field and talks about life after football and becoming a man.”

While McCutcheon hasn’t yet taken an official or unofficial visit to Washington, he has been on the campus while in Seattle before. His father played for USC back in the 90’s and knows all about Washington’s history of success.

“He told me that was the loudest stadium he’s ever been in”, Dyson laughed.

McCutcheon is a wiry and agile athlete who could be compared to Darnay Holmes,

On the field, he’s fast, elusive, shows excellent football smarts and instincts, and his coverage skills are on point. Dyson also plays offense so he’s strong at reading the quarterback and knows their tendencies.

McCutcheon has all the intangibles to be an elite, lock-down corner. He’s grossly underrated on the networks, but what else is new?
