WOOF: Arizona Decommit Flips to Washington

It didn’t take long for the Husky offer to come in, and the prior commitment to Arizona to be discontinued. Fresno, CA. corner TJ “22” Hall has taken the Husky offer that went out this past week and will be a Husky.

“I know they send DBs to the league”, Hall told Realdawg.com about choosing Washington, “Coach Harris is a real good coach and a good man, I can really see myself playing for him.”

The 6-2, 175 cornerback may just complete the DB class for the class of 2022; Washington is likely only taking one corner and that’s it. They are sitting well at safety.

Harris will be coming to Seattle for an official trip when the Huskies host Cal this fall.

The commitment to Arizona came just a couple of weeks ago, but Hall had been corresponding with the Husky coaches and once all the evals were in and the transcripts confirmed, the offer came swiftly.

“I had a good relationship with the (new staff at Arizona and they’d been recruiting me since my sophomore year, but Washington offering is a huge deal”, he added, noting that he needed to speak to his family and make sure the decision to flip to Washington would be the right one, “It was just what I felt in my heart and they have shown me a lot of love ever since we first started!” TJ added

On the field, Hall is a ballhawk; he’s long, wiry, and even played some QB last season, “When our quarterback went down I had to step up and help the team”, he said.

So he helped the team to 12 touchdowns in just six games while also contributing on the defensive side with three picks, one for a trip to the house.

“Two were called back”, he mused.

Hall is also a film junkie and loves to scout out his opponents and study tendencies before games.
