WOOF: 2019 TB Cameron Davis has Committed

Realdawg.com confirmed today that 2019 tailback has committed to Coach Petersen and the Husky coaches.

Davis has been leaning to UW for some time, so this seemed par for the course.

“I just felt it was the right place for me so I called KB and then I just talked to Coach Pete after that”, Davis told Realdawg.com, “Coach Pete said it made his whole month.”

Davis, who’s 6-0, 180, finished his junior season at Upland (CA) with 1200 rushing yards, 20 touchdowns, and averaged eight yards per-carry.

He’s a big back, who runs with power but has the speed to cut to the outside and get up field. He could put on even more weight and Bhonapha talked to him about how the coaches can’t wait to get him into the weight room.

Davis has been very under-rated, but he won’t be now.

Davis was offered early in the summer when he attended the Rising Stars camp in Seattle, and as we said, the Huskies have led for him the entire time since.

“Coach B was excited too”, Davis said, “He just said he wants to get me up there and start getting me working out.”

Davis may be enrolling early —  he has been wanting to explore what steps he needs to take in order to do this.

“The thing about Washington is that the coaches kept in touch with me”, he said of what finally tipped the scales.
