Week 12 Pac-12 Power Rankings

Week 12 Pac-12 Power Rankings

Week 12 of college football is in the books. Oregon clinched the North Division with a win over Arizona. Utah holds a one game lead in the South Division over USC. Here are my power rankings after week 12.

1. #7 Utah (9-1)

The Utes continue to look like a playoff contender as they beat UCLA, 49-3 last Saturday. Utah nearly out-gained the Bruins by 300 yards and scored another defensive touchdown.

Next Opponent: at Arizona

2 #6 Oregon (9-1)

The Ducks beat Arizona, 34-6 at home. Justin Herbert passed for 333 yards and four touchdowns in the win. Oregon officially clinched the North Division with the win.

Next Opponent: at Arizona State

3. Washington (6-4)

The Huskies were idle last week.

Next Opponent: at Colorado

4. USC (7-4)

Kedon Slovis passed for 406 yards and four touchdowns in USC’s 41-17 blowout win at California. Slovis looks to be the quarterback of the future for the Trojans.

Next Opponent: vs. UCLA

5. Washington State (5-5)

The Cougars hammered Stanford, 49-22 last Saturday. Despite giving up 510 total yards to the Cardinal, WSU held Stanford to just 22 points. This week might be a must win if WSU wants to become Bowl eligible.

Next Opponent: vs Oregon State

6. Oregon State (5-5)

The Beavers sit just one win away from an unlikely bowl birth after stopping Arizona State’s 2-point conversion, to win 35-34. There’s no doubt that Oregon State has been the biggest surprise of the Pac-12 this season.

Next Opponent: at Washington State

7. Arizona State (5-5)

The Sun Devils have lost four straight games after their heartbreaking 35-34 loss at Oregon State. Youth has finally caught up to ASU. After a 4-1 start, it would be a very disappointing end if the Sun Devils don’t reach a bowl game.

Next Opponent: vs Oregon

8. UCLA (4-6)

The Bruins’ three game winning streak cane crashing down in a 49-3 defeat at Utah. Can the Bruins bounce back this week against their rivals?

Next Opponent: at USC

9. California (5-5)

Quarterback Chase Garbers had to leave the game in the second quarter with an injury in California’s 41-17 loss to USC. It was Garbers’ first game back since being injured in Cal’s loss to ASU back in September. The Golden Bears’ offense has been dreadful this year and now their defense is struggling to keep them in games.

Next Opponent: at Stanford

10. Colorado (4-6)

The Buffaloes were idle last week.

Next Opponent: vs Washington.

11. Stanford (4-6)

After a blowout loss at Washington State, the Cardinal are likely to miss a bowl game this season. It’s been a disappointing season to say the least.

Next Opponent: vs California

12. Arizona (4-6)

The Wildcats lost their fifth straight game. Oregon best Arizona, 34-6. All five losses during the streak have come by double digits.

Next Opponent: vs Utah.
