Oregon and Utah are in the top-6 of the College Football Playoff rankings after week 11. It’s starting to be a real possibility that one of those teams makes the playoff if a few more upsets take place. Here are my Pac-12 power rankings after week 11.
1. #7 Utah (8-1)
The Utes were idle last week.
Next Opponent: vs UCLA
2. #6 Oregon (8-1)
The Ducks were idle last week. A win this Saturday secures the North Division.
Next Opponent: vs Arizona
3. Washington (6-4)
Washington’s defense was dominant in a 19-7 win at Oregon State. The Huskies defense shutout out OSU’s offense and held the Beavers to just 119 total yards. Oregon State’s only points came off a pick six.
Next Opponent: Idle
4. USC (6-4)
The Trojans responded with a 31-26 at Arizona State after their embarrassing loss to Oregon. USC out-gained the Sun Devils 547-339 yards. Quarterback Kedon Slovis passed for 432 yards and four touchdowns in the win. The Trojans still have small hope for a South Division title as they trail Utah by one game.
Next Opponent: at California
5. California (5-4)
The bye week paid off for California as they ended a four game losing streak – beating Washington State, 33-20. The Golden Bears got more good news as starting quarterback Chase Garbers was cleared to return this week.
Next Opponent: vs USC
6. UCLA (4-5)
The Bruins were idle last week.
Next Opponent: at Utah
7. Arizona State (5-4)
After their 31-26 loss to USC, the Sun Devils have lost three games in-a-row. In ASU’s last two losses, they have surrendered 73 points.
Next Opponent: at Oregon State
8. Washington State (4-5)
The Cougars are now 1-5 in the Pac-12 after a 33-20 defeat at California. In all five of WSU’s losses, they have surrendered at least 30 points.
Next Opponent: vs Stanford
9. Oregon State (4-5)
The Beavers defense showed up against Washington. But their offense was shutout in a 19-7 loss to UW. Oregon State’s only score in the game was off a pick-six. It has still been a better than expected season for the Beavers.
Next Opponent: vs Arizona State
10. Stanford (4-5)
It’s crazy to think that it’s real possibility that Stanford does not make a bowl game this season. The Cardinal lost at Colorado, 16-13, last week.
Next Opponent: at Washington State
11. Colorado (4-6)
The Buffaloes five game losing streak was snapped last week, in a 16-13 win over Stanford. Colorado’s offense has been one of the most disappointing developments in the Pac-12 this season – with a lot of talent on that side of the ball.
Next Opponent: Idle
12. Arizona (4-6)
The Wildcats were idle last week.
Next Opponent: at Oregon
