WATCH: Former Washington PG Faces Suspension from Referee Bump

Former Washington Husky point guard, now with the Atlanta Hawks is facing a fine and possible suspension.  What appears to be  purposefully bumping an official following the Hawks’ 129-121 loss to the Boston Celtics.

While not egregious, the contact does appear to be intentional.

After one season with the Washington Huskies, Murray was taken with the 29th puck in the first round of the 2016 NBA draft.

The Rainier Beach All-American actions appear to be in frustration with the officiating of a hotly-contested game number 4.  Boston now leads the series 3-1.

The past two seasons Murray has come into his own averaging over twenty points a game.  He was all-star in 2022 as he led the NBA in steals.

In that season, Larenzo Romar’s second-to-last season as coach at Washington Murray averaged 16.1 points, 5.9 rebounds, 4.4 assists and 1.8 steals a game.  He started all 34 games and played an average of  33.5 minutes.

After finishing tied for 6th in the conference, UW bowed out of the second round of the NIT.
