WATCH: Coach Lake Talks Improvements Going Forward

Jimmy Lake spoke with the media this morning and covered a number of topics, most of which revolved around last weekend’s game against Oregon State and what needs to improve going forward.

** Lake said he was proud of the team’s “energy and juice” and also with “how we handled adversity”, noting that his favorite moment of the game was how the team bounced back from the early Oregon State score off of a fumbled snap.

** He also said that there are “tons of improvements” to make and that they’re excited to get back to work.

** Lake had a lot of praise for Dylan Morris, particularly because it was his very first college start, “Huge shout out”, he said of Morris, “No turnovers, no sacks. We were 50% on third-down conversions and 100% on fourth.”

** Lake also reiterated to the media that he will never talk about injuries, unless it’s something that happens during a game and “it’s obvious something happened”. And while a couple reporters tried to continue to glean information on injuries, Lake was firm in his stance that, from a strategic standpoint, it’s not something he will do.

** Lake was not happy about the dropped balls and said the receiver game has “got to get better”.  He did add, however, that the receivers did a good of blocking.
