Washington Spring Practice Day 6: More Than a Feeling as Boston Takes Center Stage

Denzel Boston has been the big story thus far, but the guy delivering him the ball most is the time, Will Rogers, has been tremendous.

Former DB turned WR, Vincent Holmes is back on defense.  That’s great news for Washington as it speaks to the development of the receivers behind Boston.

—Rashid Williams looks to be a major contributor.

—Jason Robinson will turn defensive backs inside out. He is precise, and when he gets his foot in the ground, he is turning on a dime.

— on a ball that looked like it was delivered late, Decker DeGraff shows, soft hands, holding in a fingertip catch

— on a fade Denzel Boston slows in a way that will keep the defender off of him adjusting to the ball perfectly

— new receiver, Hunter, has an NFL body to go with his soft hands

— Jonah Coleman looks like he could be Quintin Morris “mini me”

— Giles Jackson looks thicker

— Audric Harris has been targeted several times in the late scrimmage drills

— if Quentin Moore puts it all together this year look out!

— physically, one of the more solid, looking players out there wears number 28.  Sam Adams could be due for a bigger role.

— Jonah Coleman’s thighs deserve their own TikTok

— Giles Jackson just made one of the most incredible catches. I have seen on a ball that was overthrown and behind. He tipped it up to himself out in front of him too far, and he still was able to come down with it.

— Thaddeus Dixon got beaten by Denzel Boston, but recovered in time to scrape the ball away.

— Hunter got behind Bryant but could not come up with a catch

— Giles Jackson, on the other side, broke away from the defender for clean catch, followed by Audric Harris with a great catch.

—Jackson Girouard tries to scoop the ball off of the turf but the ball hit the ground first

— Keith Reynolds smoked the defender and housed a couch

— Jason Robinson comes up with a nice catch with a hand on him

— Denzel Boston catches a touchdown between two defenders him. The defensive coaches were not happy but the offensive coaches were.

— Williams did not have enough time in the pocket to find a receiver buddy scrambles for a 4 yard touchdown

— from the 2 yard line a bubble screen to Keith Reynolds, who takes it in

— Will Rogers at quarterback find Decker DeGraff over the middle, who takes it from the 15 to the 30

— Jonah Coleman we just wait for first down

— Denzel Boston snagged a 20 yard catch your dad

— Jonah Coleman for 6 yards

—Rogers escapes pressure and picks up a first down

— screen to Giles Jackson, who picks up 12

– Rodgers has to throw the ball away

— Rogers comes back and drops one in the bread basket of Denzel Boston to end the drive with a touchdown

—  Owen Coutts skies for a touchdown one of the best catches of the day

—Michiel Esteene over Rashid Williams

—Carson Bruener  wins his battle.

—Audric Harris wins his battle.

—Giles Jackson trucks L. Bryant

—Quentin Moore has flashed his hands today. He made an amazing one-handed literally just his right hand, grasping the ball, and then another catch on the sideline.

—Hunter is so big that while he is touched down in practice, in games, he would likely go for a big run

–Denzel Boston, for 38 on a perfect fade from Rogers

— not to be out done, Hunter steals the show with an unbelievable leaping, grab on the sideline

—Indiana transfer DB Jordan Shaw with the first turnover of the day.  It was a bad throw from Rogers.

—my goodness Hunter, with another rabbit out of the hat catch

— Denzel Boston with a nice catch crosses the tenant has the ball poked out

—Boston for 12 crosses the 10 after nine

— Carson Bruener with a sack

— Jacob Lane on the stand gets the sack

— third and goal for the 25 Williams at quarterback or J Parker with a nice tackle in the middle.

—Brings up gross for a 42 yard kick that is good

—Daniyel Ngata with a carry down to the 1 yard line, punching it in one play later

— Williams can fly

— snap was on the ground that Williams is able to control, but they’re going in Market down for a 2 two snap was on the ground that Williams is able to control but they’re going to mark it down for a 2 yard loss

— Williams picks up five bringing up third and 6 from the eight.

—J Parker with another big stop a loss of 4 yards bringing up Grady Gross again

— gross and has his field goal tipped, almost hits the upright, but it falls to the ground, no good
