Washington’s gun-slinging quarterback Michael Penix has won the 2023 Maxwell Award as the top player in college football.

As a starter at Washington, led Washington to a 13-0 season, Pac-12 Championship, and a number 2 ranking in the College Football Playoffs.
Penix is up for the Heisman Trophy tomorrow. Earlier tonight Washington head coach Kalen DeBoer won the Home Depot National Coach of the Year award while receiver Rome Odunze barely missed out on the Biletnikoff Award.
The Washington offensive line is also one of four Joe Moore Award got the Top Offensive Line Unit in the Country while left tackle Troy Fautanu is a finalist for the Polynesian player of the Year.
