While packing for the Pac-12 Championship Game against the Oregon Ducks in Las Vegas on Friday, the Washington Huskies sent an offer to one of the top graduate transfer players in the nation.
Teddye Buchanan, a 6-2 and 237-pound linebacker from University of California-Davis announced his offer on Twitter Wednesday night.

In 2020, coming out of St. Ignatius College Preparatory in San Francisco, Buchanan was a 2-star linebacker and the 3,335 player overall in the 247 Sports composite ranking. At the time he was listed at 6-2 and 210 pounds. He held 4 offers before committing to UC-Davis.
In 19 games in 2022 and 2023 he had a total of 115 tackles, playing just 8 games in 2022. He was All-Big Sky Conference awards in 2022. He has 208 career tackles along with 8 interceptions.
In 2022 he proved that he could play at the next level when UC Davis played California in the season-opener. In that game he picked of Golden Bears’ QB Jack Plummer and recorded a team-high eight tackles
Washington will have a couple of holes to fill at linebacker in 2024 with the departures of Edefuan Ulofoshio and Ralen Goforth. Buchanan could fill either of their spots allowing the younger linebackers, true freshmen Jordan Whitney and Deven Bryant to develop.
In the last two games of the regular season, Carson Bruener has notched 14 tackles while 2-year starter Alphonzo Tuputala chipped in 10 stops and a sack of Washington State QB Cam Ward.
Ahead of the Transfer Portal’s opening on December the 4th, Buchanan has also reported offers from California and Stanford.
