Washington Makes Cut for Local DB Caleb Presley

Rainier Beach defensive back Caleb Presley announced that he will be focusing on twelve schools narrowing his list from a reported 29 offers, including all eleven of Washington’s conference opponents.

The 6-1, 180-pounder once said that the Washington offer was “the offer that I was waiting for.”Β  Since that time he has drawn offers from across the country.Β  From Tuscaloosa, to Miami, to Southern California, to Seattle college football coaches have fallen in love with his film.

RealDawg.com’s Trevor Mueller has followed Presley for a couple of years.

“Teams don’t throw his way all that often, when they do the Presley reminds them of why to not throw his way,” Mueller said.Β  “He is stingy and sticky.Β  He keeps the receivers in his hip pocket then uses his long arms to bat the ball down or pick it off.”

A composite 4-star defensive back, Presley helped lead Rainier Beach to a 6-4 record last season and a playoff berth in the state playoffs, losing to eventual State Champion, Bellevue.Β  The regular-season losses were a forfeit to O’Dea and one-point losses to Eastlake and his former team, Eastside Catholic.

In the past 10 years the Huskies have sent Desmond Trufant, Marcus Peters, Budda Baker, Kevin King, Sidney Jones, Taylor Rapp, Byron Murphy, Ezekiel Turner, Jordan Miller, Elijah Molden, Keith Taylor, and likely have a couple more drafted in 2022 Trent McDuffie and Kyler Gordon with the possibility of Bookie Radley-Hiles being drafted, as well.

In eliminating 17 teams Presley will now begin to set up his official visits which he will announce in the coming months.
