Former 2017 four-star defensive end DJ Johnson is transferring from Miami after citing “severe” family health related issues and has been granted the ability to contact a few schools. One of those schools includes Washington.
The 6-foot-5, 240-pounder out of Sacramento, California was high on Washington’s list before he eventually committed to Miami. The Huskies almost got an official visit from Johnson but it was too late. Washington’s defensive coordinator Pete Kwiatkowski was the main recruiter during the process.
Defensive end is a need for Washington. If anyone watched the Fiesta Bowl, UW needs a few end rushers to take some pressure off of the secondary. DJ Johnson could help in that area.
Other schools that Johnson can contact include: USC, UCLA, California, Oregon, Arizona State, Arizona and Oregon State.
Stay tuned……
