As expected Washington Husky Guard Keyon Menifield has entered the Transfer Portal.
A week after promising to stay Menifield had a change of heart, becoming the sixth Husky to announce his departure.

In his tweet the hero of the Oregon game comeback in the final days of the season also addressed Husky Nation, saying “thanks for welcoming me with open arms and the continuous support throughout the way.”
However, the All-Conference freshman did leave the door open a possible return saying that he’s going to consider all of his options including suiting up in purple and gold again next season.
Of the players in the portal Menifield had the biggest impact and upside averaging 10 points as a true freshman.
The 6-1, 150 pounds Flint, Michigan-native’s best game came against Oregon when he scored a personal best 27 points. In that game he became just the fifth Husky since 1996-97 and first since Markelle Fultz to have 27 points, 7 assists and 5 rebounds in a game.
He joins Jackson Grant, P.J. Fuller, Langston Wilson, Tyler Lindhart, Jackson Grant and Cole Bajema.
Those departures, along with the Jamal Bey means that Washington will be looking up at 7 players in year seven for coach Mike Hopkins.
