Washington Climbs Past Blue Bloods into Top 5 in AP Poll

After knocking off the eighth-ranked, Oregon Ducks, the Washington Huskies have moved into the number 5 spot in the AP Poll, passing Oklahoma and Penn State.

”It’s rare to have a team leap frog two top 10, unbeaten teams one who had a big victory the same weekend,” said RealDawg’s, Trevor Mueller.  “This is a show of respect for what the Huskies accomplished against Oregon.

To that point, the Huskies received two 1st place votes, while No. 3 Ohio State, and No. 4 Florida State each received one.

Previously number 5 Oklahoma and number 6 Penn State both slipped one spot.

Oklahoma was idle, while unbeaten Penn State dismantled Massachusetts 63 to 0.

Oregon fell one spot to number nine with Texas moving into 8th while the University of North Carolina Tar Heels moved into the number ten spot.

USC’s tumble continues, falling one spot each of the past 3 weeks, fell out of the Top Ten entirely.

The Huskies face Arizona state at home next week at 7:30.
