Washington Brings Rain/ Wisconsin Brings Snow to Saturday’s Game

“Everywhere you go, take the weather with you,” are the lyrics to Jimmy Buffet hit song, “Weather with You” and it appears that the Washington Huskies will do just that as they travel to Madison, Wisconsin to play the other “UW”.

Saturday afternoon, at Camp Randal Stadium each school will have some of its own home-cooked weather, as there’s a rain/snow mix in store for the UW v UW game.

The game starts at 3:30 local time with a temperature around 42 degrees.  The sun will be setting as the 5-10 mile-an-hour winds move in cold front moves in.  The rain could turn into a rain/snow mix in the 3rd and 4th quarters.

It will be the first game-time freezing temperatures that either team has played in, but Wisconsin will have the ability to throw on some extra warm gear and have sideline warmers.

“There’s an advantage of having Minnesota-native Zach Durfee on the roster,” said RealDawg.com’s Trevor Mueller.  “He’ll be able to help the Huskies prepare for the cold front moving in.”

If Washington is unprepared, they might have to go down to the local Ace Hardware for some blow heaters.

“It would be wise for UW to build a lead early,” Mueller said.  “If they can do that, they could weather any sort of storm on the field or in the skies.”
