The Washington Huskies have found some more speed down in the Arizona Desert in 4-star safety prospect Rylon Dillard-Allen. The 5-11, 165-pound defensive back chose the UW over Alabama, Texas A&M, and UCLA.
In his live commitment video on Instagram, he toyed with viewers by putting on a few different hats, beginning with a UCLA hat which he donned briefly before wrestling with a throwback Husky hat but again, taking that hat off. A Crimson Tide hat was next and he seemed to be on the verge of celebrating his pledge to Alabama before going to the floor for a black backpack. From his bag he pulled out a different Washington hat, pulled it on, and threw up his “Dubs”.
On the field, his speed could have him wearing a few different hats. While Jedd Fisch has recruited him as a safety but could see time at cornerback as well as a returner.
Clocked at reported 4.29 seconds in the 40-yard dash
He becomes the Huskies’ 24th commit, elevating UW into 247’s top 15 at 13th, and is also UW’s eighth 4-star commit.
His close friend, fellow Arizonan and Washington receiver commit Raiden Vines-Bright also runs a sub 4.4 seconds in the forty-yard dash at 4.37. The latter will finish out his high school career at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida.
Dillard-Allen will enroll at Washington in time for the winter quarter.
