VISIT UPDATE: Local Wideout Ready to Sign

Emerald Ridge (Puyallup) wide receiver, Denzel Boston Jr. will make it official this week and sign with the Huskies following his official trip over the weekend.

Boston was just one of several visitors who came to Seattle, but both he and fellow committed receiver, Germie Bernard re-established their prior commitments.

Bernard will sign this week as well and enroll in January at Washington.

Boston said there wasn’t just one single host, “I hung out with all the hosts throughout the trip”, he said, “I hung out and talked to Germie the most on the trip.”

Overall, the trip was a huge success for Boston, “The Highlight of my trip was getting to meet the new coaching staff at a very high class restaurant”, he said, ” I have my NLI with me and I will sign it Wednesday morning.”

Boston committed back in August.

At 6-3 1/2, 180, Boston is a quick receiver who uses his length and physicality to his advantage. He has silky hands and runs crisp routes. Junior Adams loves lengthy receivers who have long arms and are strong enough to get off blocks but also able to use that strength for downfield blocking.

He’s a little like a young Jermaine Kearse.
