He was the 4th best player in the state of Washington in 2021 with the three ahead of him all being 5-star players.
Eastside Catholic’s JT Tuimoloau, Steilacoom’s Emeka Egbuka and Sam Huard headlined the best class in the state’s history. Tuimoloau and Egbuka headed to Ohio State while Huard followed in his dad Damon’s footsteps to the University of Washington.
Behind Simon was Huard’s receiver at Kennedy Catholic Jabez Tinae. Teammate Junior Alexander went to Arizona State, later transferring to Washington last year.
After Tuimoloau, Simon was the highest rated defender in the class but chose to go to Southern California. He was expected to contribute this past season but doesn’t show any defensive stats or participation.
With the likely departure of the suspended Daniel Heimuli, a roster spot may be open for his return to play for the home team.
RealDawg.com will keep an eye open for any developments in the Simon recruitment.
