The New Faces of RealDawg.com

The New Faces of RealDawg.com

This is truly a dream come true!  Let me introduce myself.

Some of you may remember me as I covered the Huskies for two seasons back in 2016 and 2017. When Ruth Robbins first contacted me a few months back about buying RealDawg I saw it as an opportunity of a lifetime.
This is something I have dreamed about since third grade, in 1974.

My promise to you is this: My Team and I will give you the content that we   crave ourselves as consumers.  We will give you an unbelievable experience as a RealDawg subscriber, with tons of exclusive content!
Back in 1974 I dreamed that one day I’d be able to write about my favorite team.

While covering the Huskies on Sports Illustrated’s Husky Maven channel Ruth Robbins andI discussed the future and about taking over RealDawg. While I initially jumped at the opportunity I knew I couldn’t do it alone—it would take a Dream Team.

Firstly, I would not be doing this without the support of my darling wife, Margie.

I’ll be announcing the rest of the team in the coming weeks, but here are the first two:

Kaila Olin:  Kaila is a force. Her role will be defined in the coming weeks as the RealDawg staff is put together. A UW Alum and student in the Foster School of Business, Kaila tremendous instincts, vision, and judgement. We have collaborated on various projects over the past four years. It began with her doing play-by-play on the TinyRadio for me for Friday Harbor High School.

From the moment she sat behind the microphone I could tell that she would be a super star. She has worked with me as marketing director on the Don James Documentary, and on Sports Illustrated’s Husky Maven channel as a college football analyst.

Roman Tomashoff:  When I was exploring the purchase of RealDawg I reached out to many lifelong Husky fans and they all said, “You gotta keep Roman!” In fact, not only did I keep him but I made him my boss. I’ve been a fan of his for a few years now and it is an honor to work with him. Roman will be staying with RealDawg as Senior Editor.

For me it’s come full circle. In third grade I wrote a short story about Rainier Bank, calling it Reindeer Bank. Santa was the bank president and his reindeer, lead by Rudolph were his tellers. I fell in love with writing and the Huskies, in 1974.

I wrote for Real Dawg and now I’m in the position to buy the company!

And here we are, let’s let it rip!

Go Dawgs!
