Sonora (California) offensive lineman Roger Alderman talks UW Offer

The Husky coaching staff has been busy in the recruiting world. On Wednesday, Washington offered Sonora (California) offensive lineman Roger Alderman. The 6-foot-5, 275-pound tackle has fielded nine offers so far.

“I was excited and honored,” Alderman said about his offer from Washington. “Coach (Kalen) DeBoer was my first offer when he was coaching at Fresno State.”

Coach DeBoer and staff in fact offered Alderman at Fresno State in October of 2021.

“I really like the staff at UW,” Alderman said. “I feel like I have a good relationship with them. They have been watching me since freshman year and have stayed in contact with my coaches. Paul Creighton was recruiting me before the move to UW, and now I’m recruited by Ryan Grubb and Courtney Morgan. Coach Huff is a great O-line coach.”

Right now, Alderman is participating in track and has his league championship on May 5th. Track season officially ends on May 28th – the final day of state if Alderman qualifies.

“I’m hoping to visit UW as soon as my track season is over,” Alderman said.

The Huskies are in a good position with Alderman, considering his first offer came from Coach DeBoer. Realdawg will have more to report in the coming weeks on Alderman. Stay tuned.
