At a compacted 6-3, 253 pounds, Jumper was a physical, block-first tight end. The writing was already on the wall of Jumper’s departure as offensive guard Geirean Hatchett and others saw time at tight end this past seasons instead of Jumper.
His spot will be taken by Cal Poly transfer Josh Cuevas who committed earlier this week. Cuevas is a 6-5, 245 pass-catching tight end who caught 57 passes for 663 yards and 6 TDs.
