Rashid Williams is a 4-star 2023 wide receiver out of Pittsburgh, California. Williams committed to the University of Washington on May 19th, 2022. RealDawg.com’s lead scout Trevor Mueller gives his assessment of the Pittsburg, California receiver. Rated as a 4-star pass-catcher, Williams is currently the highest-rated player for Washington in the class of 2023.
Size: Standing 6 foot 2 and weighing in at 185 pounds Williams is an ideal size for a receiver that can play inside and outside.
Speed: While not necessarily what someone would call a burner, Williams has the burst to separate from tacklers. He also has the ability to separate from fenders to get open, but much of that is paired with great footwork.
Strength: When Williams is blocking close to the line he becomes a mauler. He is violent with his hands and keeps his feet moving causing defenders to become unbalanced. He is smooth across the middle and divides catches while being hit. He fights through traffic to make difficult catches.
Feet: Williams’ quick feet are what makes him a special prospect. He chops his feet before exploding into his route. This keeps defenders off balance allowing Williams to beat them over the top or change directions. Once in a route Williams has a quick burst to give him separation over corners.
Scoutlook: Rashid Williams will fit nicely into the receiver room when he steps onto campus. His frame and fundamentals will rival those already on campus. His versatility and willingness to block will help him compete as an underclassmen.
Husky Comparison: Terrell Bynum
