Report: Washington to Host Arizona State Transfer RB Ngata

Former Arizona State running back Daniyel Ngata, will reportedly be visiting Washington in the coming days.  The younger brother of former Washington defender Ariel Ngata was rated as the number 3 all purpose backs coming out of Folsom High School just outside of Sacramento, California.

As a 4-star ball carrier at FHS, he had 29 offers including one from Washington.  For the Sun Devils this past season in 11 games he averaged 5 yards a carry and 5.9 yards per reception.  In all he had 272 rushing yards on 54 carries and caught 9 passes for 53 yards.

However, he was instrumental in ASU’s upset of the Huskies in Tempe this past season.  His 1-yard touchdown run gave the Sun Devils a 38-24 lead in the 3rd quarter of the contest.

Due to a couple of lingering injuries, including one to his wrist his participation was limited and his production .  He began the spring as the Sun Devils’ number 1 running back.

Ngata is one of at least 3 transfer running backs that Washington has or will host by the weekend.
