According to Bruce Feldman of Fox Sports, Jimmy Lake has been elevated to defensive coordinator for the Washington Huskies and will call plays moving forward. Pete Kwiatkowski, who has called plays for UW’s defense for four seasons will be the co-defensive coordinator according to the report.
SOURCE: #Washington’s Jimmy Lake will get elevated to defensive coordinator & will be the defensive play-caller. Lake had plenty of big opportunities to go someplace else and this move couldn’t have happened without the selflessness of Pete Kwaitkowski who will be a Co-DC.

Under Pete Kwiatkowski, the Huskies have led the Pac-12 in scoring defense for three consecutive seasons.
There’s been talk for the last two seasons that Jimmy Lake would eventually move on from Washington to become a defensive coordinator or head coach. With head coach Chris Petersen elevating him to defensive play-caller, the Huskies look like they will have Jimmy Lake around for at least a few more seasons.
