Former 4-star linebacker Daniel Heimuli has put his name into the NCAA Transfer Portal.
A big recruiting victory for Chris Petersen in the 2019 recruiting class, the Huskies beat Alabama, LSU, Notre Dame and nine Pac-12 schools for his services.
Heimuli struggled to climb Washington’s depth chart since his arrival in 2019 and saw the field in 7 games in 2022.
He had two career starts in 2021 and the sophomore finished his Husky career with 25 total tackles.
Known as a high-motor, hard-hitting LB, Heimuli’s departure doesn’t come as a shock as late this past fall the Menlo-Atherton, California product was suspended.
He will have two years of eligibility remaining at his new school.
