Recruiting Quick Hitter: Djouvensky “Ben” Schlenbaker

Djouvensky Schlenbaker of Squalicum High School in Bellingham, Washington is definitely a guy to keep a close eye on in the months ahead.

The 2022 tailback continues to be a high priority for the Huskies.

Washington offered Schlenbaker just over a month ago and since then, they’ve done a good job of letting this local athlete know this.

“I talked to Coach Bhonapha on Monday”, the 6-1 1/2, 205 tailback told Realdawg.com, “I feel like I have a real good relationship with him.”

But can Washington light a fire hot enough under this prospect to get him to decide early?

“I haven’t narrowed anything down yet”, he said.

If I were to place a bet here, however, I’d say that the Huskies are in a good place and the draw to stay home and be close to family will be strong for Schlenbaker.

“All five (offers) are equal right now”, he said.

As for now, Schlenbaker, who’s a tough, tough athlete is continuing to do his own workouts, even though his season won’t start until February.
