RealDawg.com has acquired the Washington Husky fan-based podcasting group, 4th and Inches Network. Trevor Mueller, Jake Grant, and Kaila Olin created the 4th and Inches Network representing 15 years of Husky football content creation. For over 20 years RealDawg.com has been the proven leader in UW insider news and recruiting.
“This is exciting for RealDawg.com and for 4th and Inches, Network” said Realdawg’s new owner, Mike Martin. “It’s like we’re putting the band back together.”
Mueller, Grant, Olin, and Martin teamed up to elevate Sports Illustrated’s Washington Husky affiliate, Husky Maven, into a top 10 destination among the SI network.
Prior to Husky Maven, Mueller and Grant started 4th and Inches, a Husky Podcast in 2017, mainly as a look at Husky football.
“We created the show with the plan of inviting people into the conversation around the football program,” Mueller said.
The show has featured NFL Network’s Mike Yam, Pac-12 Network’s Yogi Roth, Husky broadcaster, Tony Castricone, Pick Six Preview’s Brett Ciancia along with many Husky football players and coaches.
In 2019, Mueller launched “The Noah Dickerson Show” to give an insider’s look at Husky basketball.
After leaving Sports Illustrated’s Husky Maven in 2020, Mueller began developing other shows including Pick and Roll with UW Daily beat reporter Evie Mason and “UW Leah” (last name withheld), focusing on Washington Women’s Basketball. Most recently he launched the UW Softball/Baseball show, Turn 2 hosted by Olin and Trey Konishi.
Martin announced earlier this week that Olin and Roman Tomashoff were joining him at the new look RealDawg.com.
Trevor and 4th and Inches will immediately begin developing a new show, “Roman’s Roundtable.”
“Roman Tomashoff is an experienced journalist with many media contacts,” Martin said. “His show will pull opinions from the RealDawg.com staff, his local and national personalities.”
