Newest Husky commit, Mark Redman, contacted Realdawg.com after he had arrived at SeaTac on his way back to California and gave us more insight into why he chose the Huskies.
“Washington is the greatest fit for me and that’s why I committed”, the 6-6, 250 lb. tight end from Corona Del Mar High School in Newport Beach, CA told us, “From the coaches to the teammates to the campus to the education to football”.
Redman was accompanied by his family on the trip to Seattle, and as we already reported in our commitment announcement, he had been to Seattle before unofficially.
‘Everything at UW is an A+”, he added, “Don’t know where you can go for a better football team and education.”
Redman is the first tight end the Huskies have received a commitment from since the 2018 class; last year they weren’t able to reel in anyone at the position — but kudos to Jordan Paopao for closing this deal with a 4-star tight end.
