Washington head football coach, Chris Petersen, announced today that senior linebacker, Azeem Victor, has been suspended indefinitely from the team. Victor was arrested early Sunday morning.
“We take these matters very seriously, and have suspended Azeem from our team indefinitely as we continue to gather details about this incident,” Petersen said.
This is Victor’s second suspension of the year after he was suspended for UW’s first game at Rutgers for violating team rules.
The senior was a preseason All-American linebacker before eventually losing his starting spot to Ben Burr-Kirven.
