Pac-12 Roundup: Week four picks

Pac-12 Roundup: Week four picks

Here are my week four Pac-12 picks.

Record: Straight up: 24-9, Against Spread: 15-10

Friday

#10 Utah (3-0) at USC (2-1) 6 p.m. (FS1) Line: Utah -3.5

The Utes continue to look like the team to beat in the Pac-12. Utah brings their stout defense into the Coliseum in a Friday night show down with a new look USC team. The Trojans are looking to get over their heartbreaking overtime loss at BYU last week. In what will have major implications in the south division, Utah’s defense will be the difference in this one.

Utah 31 USC 21

Saturday

#23 California (3-0) at Ole Miss (2-1) 9 a.m. (ESPNU) Line: Ole Miss -2

A cross country trip to Ole Miss will be a great challenge for this pesky Golden Bears team. Ole Miss did lose a lot of talent from last year’s team but this is a very long trip for California. Interesting Pac-12 ties as Rich Rodriquez is the offensive coordinator for Ole Miss and Mike MacIntrye is the defensive coordinator for the Rebels.

Ole Miss 17 California 14

#16 Oregon (2-1) at Stanford (-10.5) 4 p.m. (ESPN)  Line: Oregon -10.5

Stanford is a double-digit underdog at home this week. When’s the last time you can remember that happening? But it’s justified. The Cardinal are coming off back-to-back embarrassing losses to USC and UCF. Oregon has cruised to easy victories over Nevada and Montana after their tough loss to Auburn. The Ducks have too much speed for Stanford.

Oregon 38 Stanford 21

Colorado (2-1) at #24 Arizona State (3-0) 7 p.m. (Pac-12) Line: ASU -7.5

Despite being out-gained by nearly 200 yards, the Sun Devils pulled off a shocking 10-7 win at Michigan State. Colorado lost a tough overtime game to Air Force last week. Colorado struggles to move the ball in this one as Arizona State’s defense continues to create havoc.

Arizona State 24 Colorado 14

UCLA (0-3) at #19 Washington State (3-0) 7:30 p.m. (ESPN) Line: WSU -19

Washington State is back home after a win against Houston. Meanwhile, UCLA’s train wreck continued with a 48-14 loss to Oklahoma. Washington State should have no issue in this one.

Washington State 42 UCLA 17

* Check back Friday for my preview/prediction article of the No. 22 Washington at BYU game.
