Pac-12 Roundup: Week four picks

It’s the first slate of Pac-12 games this week. But four teams have byes. College Gameday will be in Eugene, Oregon as No. 7 Stanford travels to face No. 20 Oregon.

Here are my week four picks…….

Friday

Washington State (3-0) at USC (1-2) 7:30 p.m. (ESPN) Line: USC -4.5

USC was blitzed in Austin, losing 37-14 to Texas last week. The Trojans had -5  yards rushing as their offense continued to struggle.

Washington State avoided their annual early upset, beating Eastern Washington, 59-24. The Cougars have yet to play a power five team but remain undefeated at 3-0.

Washington State upsets the Trojans as USC continues to struggle on offense.

Washington State 28 USC 24

Saturday

Arizona (1-2) at Oregon State (1-2) 1 p.m. (Pac-12) Line: Arizona -7

The Wildcats got their first win of the season last week, defeating Southern Utah, 62-31. Khalil Tate passed for 349 yards and five touchdowns. The concerning part for Arizona is they gave up 31 points and 463 yards to Southern Utah.

Oregon State suffered a heartbraking 37-35 loss at Nevada last week. OSU missed a 33-yard game winning field goal. The Beavers out gained Nevada 540-357.

This game has all the makings of a shootout in Corvallis. But the difference will be Khalil Tate in a close one Saturday afternoon

Arizona 38 Oregon State 35

#7 Stanford (3-0) at #20 Oregon (3-0) 5 p.m. (ABC) Line: Stanford -2

The biggest game of the week in college football will take place under the lights in Eugene as Stanford clashes with Oregon.

Stanford cruised to a 30-10 win over UC Davis without Bryce Love last Saturday. Luckily for the Cardinal, Love will be back this week in what might be a make or break game for Stanford.

The Ducks looked like they were looking ahead to this week, as they struggled, defeating San Jose State, 35-22 last week. Oregon like Washington State has yet to play a power five team.

Lots of question marks remain about Oregon. If Justin Herbert plays his A game, the Ducks can win this game. But experience will get the Cardinal a big road win.

Stanford 31 Oregon 28
