The Pac-12 is all of the sudden in the mix for a College Football Playoff birth after big road wins from Utah and Oregon. Here are my week 11 picks.
My record: Straight up: 46-22, Against spread: 34-26
Saturday
Stanford (4-4) at Colorado (3-6) 12 p.m. (Pac-12) Line: Stanford -3.5
This is the time of the year where Stanford shines under David Shaw. After a terrible start, the Cardinal have quarterback K.J. Costello back and are looking to finish the season strong. Colorado is heading the opposite direction after five consecutive losses. Expect a lot of points in this game. Stanford with an extra week of rest puts up a ton of points in Boulder against a struggling Buffs’ defense.
Stanford 38 Colorado 31
USC (5-4) at Arizona State (5-3) 12:30 p.m. (ABC) Line: ASU -1.5
The Sun Devils are coming off a much needed bye after losing consecutive games to Utah and UCLA. USC is coming off a shocking 56-24 loss to Oregon. It was a disappointing result considering the Trojans controlled their destiny in the South Division. With an extra week for Herm Edwards and ASU, the Sun Devils get it done against a USC team that struggles away from the Coliseum.
Arizona State 31 USC 28
Washington State (4-4) at California (4-4) 4 p.m. (Pac-12) Line: WSU -7.5
Both teams were idle last week. Washington State nearly upset Oregon on the road in their last outing before losing on a last second field goal. California has lost four in-a-row and can’t seem to find anything on offense since quarterback Chase Garbers’ injury. The bye week should benefit California more but Washington State is starting to click.
Washington State 35 California 25
